Method Used/Special Considerations:
High volume sales dealership, business continuity, tight site, major renovations and aggressive, fast track schedule.
Allowing dealership to remain open for business during construction, while meeting critical dates, which involved moving entire departments and inventory. In so doing, to add temporary trailers to accommodate the business needs. This required a critical and strategic staging plan that took into account the needs of the project, as well as the needs of the owner and staff. Success hinged on providing customers clear and easily understood directional signage throughout the facility and property to quickly and safely navigate the dealership whether for sales or service.
Safety was a critical concern and one to which the AutoBuilders’ team committed an exhaustive amount of time, effort and planning. The dealership’s location on one of the busiest roadways in the Northeast required special consideration and expert staging.
AutoBuilders developed a phasing plan in concert with the owner and CBRE to minimize operational disruption. The implementation plan included daily meetings and one-week look ahead orchestration of all project teams. Timing was crucial as the dealer faced potential financial penalties for unmet deadlines.
A quality project completed as envisioned, on time and exceeding the owner’s expectations. No loss of business as a result of strategic staging throughout the entire project lifecycle.
