Penske Automotive Group, Inc. (“Penske”) has awarded AutoBuilders a multiple-project contract at its Round Rock Auto Group campus in Round Rock, Texas. The three-pronged integrated team consists of Penske Automotive Group, project architect John Corley of Black Corley Owens + Hughes PA, and AutoBuilders General Contracting Services. The Integrated Project Delivery Approach is one advocated by AutoBuilders for its inherent efficiency in designing and managing the entire construction process.
The Round Rock Campus includes:
Round Rock Honda/Toyota Service Center – an 80,417 square foot new construction, dual service center was completed in January. 100% condition spaced, the center provides customers and service technicians a climate-controlled environment, state of the art facility.
Round Rock Hyundai – site construction on this ground – up, 30,000 square foot facility began this month. The project meets the Hyundai image program in all customer touch point areas.
Round Rock Honda – a 40,250 square foot interior and exterior renovation complies with Honda’s image program and more than doubles the size of the current showroom space. Construction is scheduled to complete in October 2012.
Round Rock Toyota – a 45,000 square foot interior and exterior renovation. The renovation included construction of a leading edge, new vehicle delivery area, featuring individual glass walled bays for new vehicle demonstration and delivery. The facility complies with the Toyota Image USA program. Construction is scheduled to complete in May 2012.
Pre Delivery Inspection Building (“PDI”) – a nearly 9,000 square foot renovation, encompassing remodeling of an existing facility and the addition of five service bays, interior updates and construction of a new front facing façade structure. The facility includes a car wash and inspection area for of all new and incoming used vehicles. All Round Rock campus members share the PDI facility.
Penske Corporate Accounting Offices – AutoBuilders converted an obsolete Smart Car facility into a Penske regional corporate accounting office. The office accommodates sixty plus employees in approximately 30 offices.
